Covid-19 has seriously changed the world on a scale we weren't expecting. The Arrowverse schedule for next year has been announced and all the start dates begin in January 2021. There is just no time left to make the shows and get them up before a natural Fall start date. So after this Sunday, we'll have to wait a little longer until we get more episodes of Batwoman, but when it comes to the safety of the cast and crew, we think you'll join us in accepting this longer wait to return. While Batwoman will remain at it's Sunday 8pm time slot, Supergirl has been postponed due to Melissa Benoist's pregnancy. That said, the big annual crossover has been announced and its ... not as big. But it does focus around Batwoman and Superman & Lois! This crossover will only be two hours long but as we recently learned, Kryptonite is the Batsuit's weakness. Could this have something to do with finding Bruce Wayne?

I didn't think about the streaming exclusive deals and how they may impact crossovers. Having the crossover on the two new shows gives the streaming to HBO Max.
I had assumed Netflix would have gotten to air all 5 episodes of Crisis despite not having Batwoman. That is a bummer.

Not that concerned any longer... as Ruby quit. Fingers crossed Melissa Benoist has as good on-screen chemistry with the new actress.

I read that Supergirl still may appear on this one as well as some guest starts from other shows were mentioned. Depending on when the will film this crossover, Melissa may be ready for action again....
Caroline Dries indicated [on Decider.com] that the change was likely due to Supergirl's late start and the desire to include newby Superman & Lois in the crossover event.
I wonder if the original plans were for there to be a Supergirl/Superman & Lois crossover to start off the new show (which would make more sense), and a Batwoman/Supergirl crossover later in the season? I guess we'll never know.
Also, a Batwoman and Supeman and Lois crossover might actually be interesting!
They previously said the next crossover would be smaller. Best to focus on the two newest series.
I still want the Supergirl and Batwoman World's Finest for next season... just those two shows with no other heroes. Kinda like we got with Arrow and Flash.
