Poison is in the air, er, on the ground now. Renee has betrayed team Batwoman in order to get to her long lost love Pamala Isley. The guilt of being responsible for drying out Pamala in the first place was too much and drove Renee to betray her badge in order to get Pamala back. But the original Poison Ivy isn't the only threat going around Gotham. Poison Mary is also on the loose and with her newest commitment to being bad and giving away Batwoman's identity, Alice and Mary are a force to be reckoned with. As tonight's episode's title suggests, Poison Mary and Poison Ivy are likely to meet and who knows what could happen! Here's what stood out to us:

1. Pamala Isley: The original Poison Ivy is back and is already killing again. She kills two fishermen not adhering to the catch and release policy. John Diggle is in town and knows Jada Jet as an old friend. Ryan is ignoring Sophie as she now blames Sophie's one time hook up with Renee as a betrayal. Poison Ivy and Renee are in the forest and they are going to have to hunt her on her home turf!
2. John Diggle: With Diggle in town, he’s got a beat on where the Joker’s buzzer might be. While he didn’t accept Jada’s offer, he was in Gotham on “other business”. Renee tells Pamala of a possible way to reach out to Mary and she meditates on it. Alice and Mary are planning a vacation together when Mary feels the call from Pamela. Alice is generally concerned that she’ll lose Mary to Pamela. Ryan, Sophie and Luke head into the woods and are immediately attacked by vine monsters.
3. A Hero in Doubt: Luke blames himself for the entire predicament. Sophie and Ryan are quick to point out each other’s failures to boost him back up. Renee begs for Pamela to not go back to her old ways but she uses her powers to keep Renee in one spot while she seeks out to kill Batwoman. Alice and Mary start down the road but Mary can’t move in any direction except toward Pamela. Alice warns about the original Poison Ivy but agrees to go with Mary. Ryan and Sophie get close to hashing it out but a vine comes from the chimney and takes Sophie!
4. Ivy Attack: Luke is able to save Sophie with a gas blast that recalled the ivy vine. The team realizes that Ivy can hear them when they are in the Forrest and the argument they had earlier has led her to them. Mary and Alice have a heart to heart but Alice is insistent on protecting Mary. Mary uses her powers to get Alice to stay in the car and fall asleep. Ryan volunteers to go get more ammo and Jada and Diggle find the buzzer in Renee’s office. As Mary is close to getting to the original Poison Ivy, she is stopped somehow by Renee.
5. Hunters in the Mix: Hunters come across Mary in the Forrest and remove the toxin in her. She wakes up and vines the dad away. Mary resumes her mission to get to Pamela. Batwoman gets the salt but vines come and attack as the little kid from the hunters cries out for help. Batwoman retreats into the truck and asks Sophie to blow it up with her in it. She complies and the suit protects Ryan as Luke rushes to save the kid proving he is a hero.

In the final wrap up moments, Luke comforts the kid he saved. Sophie and Ryan share a kiss opening the door to their romance. Luke visits his father's grave to let him know he's ready to be Batwing and wear the suit. John Diggle was there too. He had a trans-matter cube and he asked if Argus or team Batwoman could open it. Does this hold the Green Lantern ring? Alice awakes and sees that Mary actually killed the hunter, maybe by accident. Renee and Pamela catch up to each other. Renee has a tolerance to her mind control. She steps aside when Mary arrives however and Pamela kisses Mary on the forehead. Does this de-power Mary? The new gallery is out and the five images provided leave a lot of questions and makes us wonder what will happen. We know from the trailer that Mary and Pamela will be meeting up, but it seems that we'll also be having a meeting between Pamela and Renee. It'll be interesting to see what the two will talk about and what Renee will say as it was her kiss that awakened Ivy. The other images focus more on the Bat team, where Sophie and Ryan are gearing up to find Pamela. Check out the gallery below:

The second to last episode of Batwoman season 3 now has a synopsis and we are already thinking that the writers are throwing everything they can at poor team Batwoman! Interesting side note, the team of writers who wrote this episode are also the producers and developing creators of the CW's Gotham Knights. Based on the video game of the same name that follows a story where Batman was murdered and a power-gap opens within the city. Not terribly unlike Batwoman, but enough on that. If Ryan's identity is back at play, it is likely to assume that Marquis is back in play. Check out the full episode synopsis for yourself below:

DYNAMIC DUOS – Just when it seems things can’t get worse…Batwoman’s (Javicia Leslie) identity is once again at risk of being exposed, and some of Gotham’s most villainous unite. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) joins Luke (Camrus Johnson) on a mission and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) gets into Mary’s (Nicole Kang) head. Also starring Robin Givens and Nick Creegan. Batwoman is back and it feels like we are just slamming the gas petal down now. Mary seems to have embraced her poison ivy persona and is teaming up with Alice, Jada has lost control of Marquis and his plans to take over Wayne Enterprises were successful! Now all parties involved are going to slam together in a twisted masquerade party hosted by our newly corrupted Marquis! Of course at the center of all of this is the real Poison Ivy who's going to make her debut very soon. If you haven't seen her already, TVline.com has an exclusive first look at Batwoman's take on Poison Ivy, but first, let's jump into "Trust Destiny", here's what stood out to us:

1. 10 Years Ago: We open with Renee Montoya hunting down Poison Ivy, she hesitates to act against her due to their romance but it ends up getting her partner killed. Alice and Mary are stealing a hotel suite in Metropolis but when the hotel tries to throw them out, she uses her new powers to allow them to stay. In a flashback, we see Renee and Pamala and learn her partner didn't die but lost a kidney. Renee begs Pamala to remain the quirky scientist but she can't while nature is threatened. Team Batwoman meets with Renee and they discover there might be a cure for Mary if they can find where Pamala is buried. The team let slip who Batman was and Renee is shocked. Marquis calls to gloat to Ryan and Ryan has an idea to crash the party.
2. Twisted Job Interview: The party turns out to be a job interview to replace the board of directors that Marquis fired. The team is able to get in and get enough bio data to fake Marquis' security and get into the bat cave. They meet Marquis enforcers at the top of the tower where Sophie, Renee and Ryan take them out. Ryan asks Renee to turn around when she opens the cave. Back at the party, Mary arrives.
3. Batman's Journals: Luke alerts the crew that Mary has arrived. She walks right past Luke and goes straight to Marquis. He is intrigued with her new look and gives her an audience. Ryan asks when Renee asked for Batman's help. We are then treated to a flashback of when Renee and Pamala had to break up. Renee's duty to protect the city was too great and she was the one that used the desecrater on Pamala. Ryan then goes on to hypothesize that Pamala was buried in the Bat cave.
4. Poison Ivy: Ryan, Renee and Sophie head deep into the bat cave to find Poison Ivy. Meanwhile, Mary takes up Alice's idea to do something so mean and unforgivable that her friends will give up on her. While we don't hear it, it is implied that Mary tells Marquis who Ryan really is and how to get into the Bat Cave. Just as she starts to make her exit, Sophie locates Poison Ivy.
5. Dominoes Start to Fall: Marquis knows that Luke is at the party and that he is Batwing. He has his team detain Luke. Renee stays to guard Pamala and Sophie heads to intercept Alice at her apartment. Marquis takes Luke up to the roof where Batwoman is trying to save Mary. Marquis is about to kill Luke when Batwoman throws the cure into Marquis dehydrating him. Mary escapes and Ryan learns she told Marquis her secret. Alice claims that Renee lied about her plans with Pamala.

In the final wrap up moments of the show, Mary returns to Alice and drinks champagne. She wanted Ryan to see Mary as powerful but Mary was the last thing on her mind with Luke and Marquis up there. Renee asks for forgiveness from Pamala and kisses her waking her up. Sophie heads to Renee's office to find out that Renee was always going to free Pamala.
